Basketball Sign Ups Have Begun
Sign up for the Georgetown Dribblers Adaptive co-ed basketball team. Open to all disabilities. Team meets Saturdays starting in Jan through end of February. Cost is $20 and includes shirt. Come in your Halloween costume and stay for a kids’ costume contest!
Proceeds from this event help to fund extracurricular events, activities and summer day camp for students in Georgetown with Special Needs.

Incredibles 2 Sensory Showing
Cinemark 14 in Round Rock is having a Sensory Friendly screening of The Incredibles 2 at 10am on Saturday July 21st . It should be great fun!
Please note there are several scenes of strobing/flashing light. If any of your little ones are subject to photosensitive epilepsy, please use your best judgement before coming to see The Incredibles 2.

2018 Camp Scholarship Applications are now available!
The Exceptional Georgetown Alliance is now taking applications for scholarships for the adaptive summer day camps, Let’s Make Friends and Circle of Friends. These camps are for GISD elementary, middle and high school students. Scholarships are limited. Applications can be received and returned via email, exceptionalgeorgetown@gmail.com, or picked up and dropped off at Georgetown Parks and Rec center on Austin Avenue. All applications must be received by March 11, 2018 for consideration. Restrictions apply and all candidates must meet criteria.

Each year the Theater Department uses the annual musical in order to raise awareness and funds for a charity. With this year’s show, Damn Yankees, they would like for Exceptional Georgetown to be that charity.
Sensory Friendly Movie of “The Last Jedi”
Sensory Friendly Movie of “The Last Jedi” this coming Saturday at Cinemark Round Rock 14!! The show will be shown Saturday January 20th at 10am. It will be shown only to groups with special needs so your families my enjoy a stress free movie going environment. The lights in the auditorium will only dim half way, the movie’s sound will be lowered, and there will be no trailers. This will be especially nice considering the movie is over 2 hours long but please be aware that this will me the movie itself will start at 10am, not 10:15 like usual after any advertisements. Thanks Cinemark Round Rock!!!
